Important Information regarding McCoy Federal Credit Union’s Overdraft Privilege Program for Debit Card Transactions
As you know, your McCoy Federal Credit Union checking account has Overdraft Privilege. Under this program the Credit Union may pay items such as checks and ACH debits even if your account does not contain sufficient funds. A fee of $25 is assessed for each item paid.
Did you know this same service is available for everyday ATM transactions and debit card purchases?
With McCoy Federal’s Overdraft Privilege program we may approve everyday ATM and debit card transactions for you at our discretion when you don’t have sufficient funds in your account.
This might happen because funds from a recent deposit are not yet available, you may have forgotten to make a deposit or there was an oversight or error in your checkbook register. Whatever the reason, the Overdraft Privilege program helps you avoid the embarrassment of having transactions denied especially in an emergency situation.
If you want Overdraft Privilege for everyday ATM transactions and debit card purchases you must “Opt In” to this program.

Are there fees if I opt in?
There is no fee for opting into the Overdraft Privilege program for everyday ATM transactions and debit card purchases. There is a $25 fee each time you use the service.
Do I have other Overdraft Protection options?
Yes you do! Your checking account may automatically draw funds from your savings account to cover overdrafts. There is a $2 per transfer fee for this service and there is a limit of 6 automatic transfers per month.
If you have a line of credit loan you may automatically access it to cover overdrafts. The $2 fee applies to these transfers and you must authorize this protection in advance.
How can I monitor my balance and avoid overdrafts?
We offer access to your account 24 hours a day and 7 days a week online via My McCoy and by phone with Toni the Teller at McCoy FCU.
You may also call our Call Center during normal business hours.
